310 affected families of Saptari District receive basic requirements.

Sipradian Sahayata Sanstha, the CSR wing of SIPRADI, distributed basic requirements as part of flood relief program at Saptakoshi Nagarpalika, Fattepur in Saptari district on 4th Shrawan 2076. Due to Monsoon flooding in Nepal livelihood of the people in 31 districts has been affected, where more than 11,839 households have been displaced and more than 90 fatalities has been confirmed. A group of 10 volunteers from Sipradian Sahayata Sanstha distributed 25 kgs Rice, 1.5 kgs Dal, 1 kg Salt and 1liter Cooking Oil to the 260 households of families of ward number 6 and 50 households of ward number 7 of the Saptakoshi Nagarpalika. In total, 310 households received assistance from Sipradian Sahayata Sanstha. The program was conducted in the presence of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Ward Chairman, representatives of political parties of the area and the employees of SIPRADI.

Due to the flood resulting from the continuous monsoonal rain in Triyuga River, people and their livelihood of Saptakoshi Nagarpalika have been severely affected. This year’s heavy monsoon, which started on 11th July 2019 triggered flooding and landslides in several municipalities especially in the south- eastern districts of Nepal.
